The ranch is situated on 2,000 acres just outside of Junction, TX. It's comprised of the fertile Gentry Creek valley, deep draws, rugged hills and rock outcroppings. Native pecan, red oak, live oak, sycamore, and cedar elm are plentiful. Native whitetail deer, Rio Grande turkey, Bobwhite quail, and several species of dove can be found here, as well as some exotics such as Axis deer and Red Stag.
Since purchasing the land in 2012, we've worked hard to restore it to its original beauty and functionality by clearing the noxious Ash Juniper (cedar) and many other invasive species that prevented native grasses from flourishing. Conservation and sustainability are a priority at Double K. We utilize prescribed burning to enhance the agricultural production and wildlife habitat, practice rotational grazing, and closely monitor stocking rates in order to be good stewards of the land.
Please Contact Us if you’d like to discuss any of our animals or make an appointment to visit the ranch. If you can't visit in person, we're happy to provide additional photos and videos upon request.
Thank you for stopping by.
